The United States has pressed Israel to consider changes to its policies in the occupied West Bank following recent talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a report by Axios. The discussions highlight growing U.S. concerns that current Israeli actions could inflame tensions and undermine regional stability.

Sources familiar with the meeting said Trump and senior U.S. officials urged Netanyahu to rein in certain measures in the West Bank, including settlement expansion and security practices that have drawn international criticism. While Washington remains a close ally of Israel, the talks reflected differences between the two sides over how best to manage the volatile situation on the ground.
